With a population of 1.2 million, Dallas is ranked as the ninth largest city by population in the United States. The Dallas-Fort Worth Area boasts 7 million people. It is the third largest city by population in Texas. The city is located in North Central Texas and is in Collin, Denton, Kaufman, and Rockwall Counties. The city has the third most Fortune 500 companies in the United States. The Dallas Metropolitan area boasts an economy with a gross domestic product of over 500 billion dollars annually.
Dallas is home to many tourist attractions including the African American Museum, the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, the Dallas Holocaust Museum, the Dallas World Aquarium, the Dallas Zoo, the Munger Place Historic District, the Dallas Museum of Biblical Art, the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, the Dallas Historical District, and White Rock Lake.
Also, the yearly State Fair of Texas brings in hundreds of millions of dollars every year to the city.
